Molotov Milkshake The Mars Volta did what they are truly known for: the most unexpected thing possible...a 'normal' album, with no songs longer than 4 minutes. Yet despite the seeming 'electro pop' style, the tone and lyrics are dark, the melodies are gorgeous and this album kicks ass!

Xtra Happy I may be a tad biased given this was my first TMV album, which then led me to go through the rest of the back-catalog, but I think this a great re-invention that, not only the band needed to have, but maybe the fans did too.

Tracks like opener 'Backlight Shine' and 'Que Dios Te Maldiga Mi Corazon' have a great latin/Puerto Rican infused energy guaranteed to get you moving, with others like 'Tourmaline' and Cerulea' carrying the softer emotional weight.

Cedric, Omar, welcome back. Favorite track: Graveyard Love.

tzyoggah This album is like a mix of The Mars Volta, Puscifer, and The Postal Service. If you know and like all of these bands, this is for you! Amazing vibe.
